How To Educate Your Customers on Vape Etiquette
Estimated 0 min read
Vape etiquette is actually pretty simple. It only requires people to be conscious of what other people may find annoying.
Our suggestion?
Tell clients to avoid confrontation with other people and follow basic smoking rules; don’t vape into people’s faces, no vaping in front of children or babies, and no vaping in enclosed spaces. Although, that last one can be changed depending on the rules of the place where you are because some public spaces can be a little more lenient with indoor vaping rules. Ensuring your customers follow these basic rules will also help youth vaping prevention, which will ultimately benefit your business as well.
Other than that:
Vaping etiquette only requires consumers to know how to vape correctly. At the end of the day, you want your clients to enjoy their vaping experience so they come back and repurchase from your store.
So, instead of ONLY worrying about teaching customers how to not annoy other people, you should actually be spending more time teaching them how to vape correctly and get to know their hobby.
Start With the Basics
Some of your customers might already be advanced vapers, but not all of them start that way. It’s partly your job to get them there. It’s your responsibility to help not because you want people to become vapers, but because you are in the vape business, and it’s your job to make sure that your customers know what they’re doing and how to do it; in other words, doing a little vaping education.
What is Vaping?
Vaping is what we call inhaling vapor from an electronic device, be it a vape pen, box mod, or other vape units. Vaping emulates smoking but does not combust any material, meaning that consumers are not inhaling smoke at any point in time, only vapor.
Vaping is done using a flavored or unflavored liquid called vape juice, which may or may not contain nicotine. The nicotine content is left for the consumer to determine.
What is a Vape?
Vapes are battery-powered handheld electronic devices that heat vape juice to produce vapor for inhalation.
How Does a Vape Work?
The battery in the vape heats up a piece called a coil. The coil is exposed to a small cotton swab that collects vape juice. By applying heat to the vape juice soaked onto the cotton swab, the vape creates vapor which is then inhaled by the consumer through the mouthpiece.
Things to Teach Advanced Vapers
You will find tons of free online vaping courses on YouTube and other platforms. This is something that advanced vapers might be interested in because these consumers may be looking for something more than just learning to inhale, like participating in vaping contests.
Types of Power Sources
The types of power sources are divided into three different power levels, each one fit for a different level of vaper and all of which you can find at INCREDIBLE WHOLESALE PRICES right here on the VapeRanger website.
- Low Power: Vape Pens, Pod Vapes, Disposable Vapes

Vapor Sources
This far into the article your customer should already know how vapor is created by a vape device. But perhaps your customer is still a little lost on what options they have:
- Prefilled Devices: Single use, with non-replaceable parts, or disposables.
- Refillable Devices: Vapes consumers can recharge and purchase vape juice to refill tanks.
How to Actually Vape
Vaping is actually quite simple: You can teach customers to puff into the device and inhale into their lungs quite easily. Although, there are some silly customers out there who have trouble inhaling into the lungs.
That said, there are two different types of inhales you can teach to prevent this issue:
- Mouth to Lung (MTL): Works best with high resistance coils and high nicotine vape juices. The process is simple: slowly draw vapor into the mouth, hold it in the mouth for a second, open mouth, and breathe it into the lungs, holding for a few seconds and exhaling smoothly.
- Direct Lung (RL): For more advanced vapers that don’t require a two-step process. Draw vapor and inhale directly into the lungs without holding it in the mouth.
