What Are Nicotine Salts?

Nicotine salt is a type of vape juice formula that packs a higher nicotine concentration than regular e-juice, which is also known as freebase vape juice. In other words, with nicotine salt, your customers get more nicotine per puff and don’t need to inhale as much vapor.

However:

Nicotine salt is not for everyone. Some users look for freebase vape juices with only 0-12mg of nicotine content, while salts may offer up to 50mg and even more in some cases.

Another sales pitch for nicotine salts is that they are made using a chemical called benzoic acid, which is said to neutralize the nicotine base in the product, resulting in a much smoother experience. While they have higher nicotine content, nic salts are still formulated to provide a smooth sensation that does not hurt the throat as much.

Nicotine Salt vs. Freebase Nicotine

Perhaps the most noticeable difference between both products is that nicotine salts contain more nicotine than freebase e-liquid. This makes the fact that the best nicotine salt products don’t feel as harsh on the throat even more incredible. As mentioned above, this is in part due to the use of Benzoic Acid in its formula.

But this is not the only difference between both products. There are other differences in terms of user experience that help consumers pick and choose. One of them is that, unlike freebase vape juice, nicotine salt vaporizes very well at lower temperatures, making it the ideal choice for smaller vape devices with less battery power.

Nic salt juice is also often preferred by regular smokers because the higher nicotine content gives a sensation that is more similar to the smoking experience than freebase nic, making it more enjoyable for users who are used to strong hits of nicotine.

Usage of freebase and nicotine salts is very similar, while the experience may somewhat vary, at the end of the day, they both produce vapor. That said, the main differences are based on your client’s nicotine needs and the amount of vape juice consumed by each one of them.
